Resume Tip to Prevent Identity Theft & Discrimination
Just a friendly reminder: Remove your physical address from your resume, especially if it’s posted online. There are no benefits or practical reasons to provide it, but it can expose you to identity theft.
Did you know that some job postings on sites like Indeed are fake? They are created to get your information. If your resume is made public on those sites, it can be even more risky. I know. I know. As if job searching wasn’t difficult enough...
You can simply put something like Atlanta, GA or remove that altogether. If employers are interested, they will reach out via phone or email. Think about it. When is the last time you were sent a letter in the mail to come in for an interview.
