Resume Tip: Out with the Old, in with the Achievements
RESUME TIP: Stop listing bullet point after bullet point of just your job responsibilities.
This is especially important if the position is already easily understood (realtor, administrative assistant, cashier, teacher, Uber driver, etc.). While, some positions have unique responsibilities, simply regurgitating your job descriptions doesn't do much to sell your candidacy to employers.
Focus instead on your achievements.
This is what separates you from every other person with the same job who is applying for that promotion. This is also what separates your resume from that stack of "regurgitate job description" resumes. It also helps you to feel like YOU are represented on paper. The reason you don't feel confidant with your resume is because your resume represents your jobs, not YOU.
This can also give you a head start on potential interview stories to tell when asked.
